DWI Arrests Are Still Going Strong

I was checking out some local stats from the Police Department here, and it was rally crazy to see that the DWI (Driving While Intoxicated) arrests numbers have been up for the year. I don’t know what it is, but people just aren’t getting the message.

Please, get somebody to drive you home, and if you can’t get somebody to drive you home call a cab, and if you don’t have the money to pay for a cab, then ask the person if you could crash on a coucjh somewhere, even in a sleeping bag in the basement.

One of our members got locked up for DWI (he was just over the limit), and unfortunately he hit somebody, and they got hurt…..Ouch! Now you are talking big problems. He had to hire an attorney ($7500 binder), and he’s hoping they won’t send him away to do some time.

The Police are out in force, take warning! One of the main indicators of someone having a probl em with alcohol is the negative consequences he or she has as the result of misusing alcohol. let’s face it, if you are a “risk taker” and get behind the wheel of the car drunk, and say “screw it” I’ll take my chances…you got some big problems….and I’m talking sign yourself into a rehab or some therapuetic intrvention real fast before your maiing license plates for 2-5 years.
